I'm using Terrain Command 3 (latest fw) with Tab V4B and DMD2 . Whenever I enter Panning mode there are 2 problems:
cannot exit panning mode with short or long press of any button.
right or left button press instead of going directly west or east it goes diagonal (east north or west north)
I tried to complain to DMD but João Pereira says "Terrain Command 3 is not even certified so I cant help you with it, I don't have one to add support". Any ideas to fix it apart disabling panning mode at all ?
Unfortunately we do not know DMD anymore. But what Joao told you is a pile of .... uhm not correct. He designed the communication protocols and got really a lot of money for that. Terrain Command III uses exact same communication protocols for DMD like gen II and Adventure Control. If something doesn’t work, it's because he doesn't want it to work. Btw, the only reason he does not have gen III is because he didn't ask for one. He has a chance to get any of our equipment just like any other of our resellers.
All that said, I am sorry for your trouble and I hope that Thork (Joao) will come to their senses and stop harrassing our users like that. After all, it is you - Carpe Iter users, that indirectly paid for most of DMD development in recent years.
DMD is probably the only app on the planet to actively block controllers so we can't fix that on our end.

It turns out this issue was caused by a software bug in DMD. Appologies for suspecting something shady on DMD side. It should work now (as we were told by other users)
