You may have noticed that sometimes the battery level starts at 100% and then goes down rapidly.

That means the indicator is just calibrating. Simply give it a few minutes and it will settle down.

Why we did that? Stock Android indicator is designed for other use scenario. When you look at how you use your smartphone, it is in typical situations quite different from how you use CI Pad. You charge your smartphone over night and run it on battery the rest of the time. This is for what the stock Android battery indicator is built for.

With CI Pad, however, you keep it powered most of the time you use it and that’s when the stock Android battery level indicator sometimes gets confused. Which is why we made our own indicator, but for it to work properly, it needs to calibrate somehow.

Either way, all this is being redesigned on Android 11 for v4 and v4b units.
