As mentioned in Part I of the boot cycle sequel, under some circumstances the CI Pad might start turning on and shutting down again before the operating system even loads completely.
Beyond the mechanical reasons covered in Part I, this erratic behavior could be caused by elements entering the inside of the button (that might in some situations include water, although the buttons are generally waterproof). If that should happen, please remove the silicone membrane and clean/dry the void under the membrane and apply silicone oil generously. Video tutorial is linked below.
It is recommended to follow the procedure shown in the video also as a general pre-caution in case you are regularly riding in heavy rains or plan to do so.
